Hot fishing in Key West

Report Date: July 27, 2009

July and August fishing in the lower Florida keys and key west.

Yes, it is hot.

Yes, the fishing is fantastic.

Yes, its worth the trip down here.

The Keys are often over looked as a great summer time destination for fishing.

Typically I hear people may have some concern for the heat. Well guess what kids, it seems to me its hot just about everywhere in the states in July and August.

My response it we fish till we get to hot then we go in. Case closed.

If you do adventure into the heat what you will find is some amazing shots at bonefish and nice schools of 12 to 15 pound permit for you to throw a fly or a live crab to.

There are lots of Lemon sharks on the flat this time of year, giving a formidable option instead of chasing bones and permit.

Don’t overlook fishing the fishing in Key West and the lower Florida keys in the summer time.
