Bull Shark Love Barracuda in Key West!

Report Date: January 17, 2005

The fishing has been real good the last few days down here in Key West. Plenty of shot at Permit and lots of those winter time Barracuda, which are eager to gobble up a tube lure. I have also seen lot of Shark, quite a few Bull Sharks in fact, however, they can be a bit of a pest when they try and attack your Barracuda. As my one angler found out when he was trying to land a nice 20 pound plus barracuda a massive Bull Shark charged his fish like a torpedo and then proceeded to eat this fish in a couple of bites. Better the fish then my leg. I do not encourage letting this happen on the flats, however, I found that there is not much you can do about changing the mind of a perfect eating machine.

Tarpon Season is just around the corner???Dates are going fast!
