It is time to put a new motor on the flats skiff. I pulled the flats skiff and re-powered with new 90hp mercury. Same motor as I had on the skiff before just the 09’ model. I also did a few cosmetic repairs and well lets just say, gave the boat a two week vacation.

I did fish a few charter and found plenty of fish. Tarpon, permit, bonefish, sharks.
We spent time wading the flats and had good success with little pink diamond jigs for bonefish. We fished juvenile tarpon which were fairly plentiful on the gulf side flats, however, customers found them a little tough to feed on artificial bait. Fly casting we had noticeably better success with the baby tarpon.

I even spent a few days on the water fishing and managed to hook 4 permit on fly rod and numerous bonefish.
