Happy Holidays from Key West, fl. Here is what the fishing has been lately.

Report Date: December 15, 2007

Key West fishing for December has been a mix of the fall fish and the winter fish. Due to the warmer waters and over all warmer air temps the flats are still holding some Bonefish and lots of Permit. The Barracuda have pushed in from the deep; however, they are not to enthusiastic due to the warmer water. Sharks are every where. The bait has started to make a push in toward the shallows so therefore the Sharks will follow. The backcountry fishing had been good. Not great and certainly less than good on some days due to warmer water. We are in a slow transition switching from summer to winter down here in the Key West fishery. The weather has actually been exceptional and as far as a day goes on the water there are lots of target to fish for.

Any one interested in Tarpon fishing this year. Better book soon dates are going fast.

Happy Holidays
